Not
long after we first opened,
we received a working visit
from the Sunday Mail's
then food & dining
reviewer — journalist,
pundit and TV celebrity Tam
Cowan |
|
Writing
in his own inimitable style,
Tam had high (if rather
irreverent - "What's
a restaurant like this doing
in Paisley?!")
praise for us. He and his
party particularly enjoyed
our homemade chicken paté "...
quite delightful". They
praised our menu "Sharon's
seafood platter ... put a
huge smile on her face",
our portions "my
chargrilled fillet was
simply immense ..."
and were especially fond
of our range of homemade
desserts "Liz
had the Bailey's tiramisu
(to die for), Sharon had the
clootie dumpling (even
better than my granny's)
..the homemade custard ...
was just fab ... overall the
desserts were superb" |
|
Mention
was made also of our
ambience and atmosphere "Raeburn's
is a friendly family-run
place ... the service was
exemplary ... top nosh keeps
customers coming back" |
|
Tam
signed off his review with
the best possible
testimonial - "I'll
definitely be back
..."
